Don’t miss it! Hope and Vision Communities feature on the More Than My Past Podcast

We were thrilled to be invited to share our story with The Forward Trust’s director Julie Muir and actor Jason Flemyng, as they launched the first episode of season 3 of the More Than My Past Podcast.

The MTMP Podcast shares inspiring stories of those that have overcome crime and addiction to achieve amazing things. We got to talk to them about the importance of helping people to tackle the root of their problems by providing opportunities for treatment and safe housing.

The four discuss the importance of hope, motivation, opportunity and gratitude in recovery. Tony shares that he lived the lie, “you’re never going to change,” that was spoken over him, and how reaching his “rock bottom” gave him enough pain and motivation to become vulnerable and seek help.

As a former judge, Peter shares how sometimes he sent people to rehab rather than prison despite what the media may say, as people need to be given the right chances to change, and he still hears stories of those who turned their lives around as a result.

If you’re trapped in crime and addiction, or know someone that is, we hope sharing this story will help to bring hope and show that recovery is possible. Tony’s message to those at their rock bottom is: “I believe in you and you can do it.”
