What We Provide

We want to see every person we work with reach their potential to find their place in society, start families of their own and enjoy independent life.
Some will need a greater intervention than others, but we are always
person-centric because each resident has their own story to tell, their own trauma, their own triggers and their own treatment.

We provide our residents with:

  • 1 to 1 Sessions with our Key Workers: One-to-one emotional support, empowerment, education, training, and help securing and sustaining employment.

  • Random Drug & Alcohol Testing: Promoting accountability, supporting recovery, and maintaining a safe community.

  • Structured House Meetings: Building peer support, setting shared goals, and resolving issues and grievances.

  • Cleaning & Household Responsibilities: Building routine, shared responsibility, and pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming home.

  • Weekly Group Meetings: Access to 12-step fellowship and/or church home groups for discipleship, learning, and mutual support.

  • Volunteering Programme: A gentle first step into our community, helping build trust, confidence and connection. Many residents volunteer at our community allotment in Reading.

Our Approach

We take a community-led, solutions-focused approach to long-term recovery from addiction.
We do more than provide a safe place to live. We build communities where people can heal, grow and move forward — supported by others who have walked the same road.
Lasting sobriety requires more than stopping drugs or alcohol. It requires us to keep doing the emotional work of recovery. We believe real change happens when people are willing to hear the truth, delivered with compassion, from someone who has been there themselves.

Where we focus our efforts:

  • Belonging & Community: We create small, family-sized homes where strong relationships can grow. Residents support one another, experience positive change together and build a genuine sense of belonging.

  • Healing & Growth: We combine empathy, honesty and lived experience to help residents understand and work through the issues beneath addiction. We encourage people to take responsibility for their recovery and develop the confidence to make lasting change.

  • Independence & Purpose: Recovery is about building a life worth living. We help residents overcome barriers to education, training and employment, develop financial independence and discover a renewed sense of purpose and contribution.

  • Life Beyond Recovery: We help residents build new relationships, networks and opportunities beyond the recovery community. We challenge the stigma surrounding addiction and support people to move forward without being defined by their past.

There is no fixed end date to belonging here. Recovery is for life, and so is the community.

Knowing I don't have to move on from this house any time soon has brought me great comfort. I was getting really worried about where I would go next. Last weekend I got my grandfather clock out of storage and I’ve put it in the living room. I used to have it in my home as a child, but as an adult I've never lived anywhere long enough to have it on display. I love hearing the chime. It reminds me how important time is. What I've got now is not a house, it's a home
